Quilt Day

Yesterday was our semi-annual quilt retreat at Carol's house. She pushes back the furniture in two rooms, sets up work tables and a group of us come with sewing machines and whatever projects we want to devote a block of time to. It's a really nice way to get a lot done, while catching up with friends, admiring their work and eating some tasty goodies. I made binding for two large quilts that were recently quilted, trimmed edges and sewed it to the quilt fronts. I will hand sew the binding to the backs, but that can be done a little at a time, while watching tv.

Kerry hasn't quilted since her son was born, so she spent her time knitting. Melissa was making purses for Christmas presents.

Cindy was working on a challenge quilt, and Carol was finishing a baby quilt and working on the previous mystery quilt.

Tammy was working on baby quilts and Trudy was using leftover blocks from her son's quilt to make a lap quilt.

Jeanne finished the binding on a Christmas quilt, and worked on the mystery quilt.

Julie was also working on the mystery quilt. Somehow I missed seeing what Nikki (Carol's daughter) was working on, in the background here.
