This past weekend, my niece Annie led her team to their state's cross-country championship with a 10th place finish. The win wasn't a big surprise as her school has a strong running tradition and were girls state champs 4 out of the past 5 years. However, Annie had never finished higher than 3rd on her team for the past 3 years, so to be their first finisher is quite an accomplishment. These pictures are from last year, as I don't have current ones.
The same weekend, her brother David was the second finisher on his college team, helping them to their conference championship.
