After the races and some lunch, we went to Nike headquarters to look around before the final banquet. The runners aren't that impressed by the other types of athletes, but Steve Prefontaine is their hero.
Statue of Pre, inside the Steve Prefontaine building. This contains a mini-museum of Pre and Bowerman memorabilia, as well as displays of Nike history - their DNA, or Department of Nike Archives. I remember back to the days of Blue Ribbon Sports, when they were distributors of Tiger shoes, and then started doing their own copies.
Annie and Evan. Later that evening, Evan got the autograph of Paul Tergat, 5-time world cross country champion and world record holder in the marathon.
Jill, Brent and Bob. It was a very long day by the time we got back to Seattle, but well worth it.
