Nine Patch

Ann asked if the prospective quilt below was for William. Perhaps that was just a gentle nudge that, since his 18th birthday was last week, I should get going on his quilt. But no, I think the flowers on this theme fabric are too pronounced for a boy's quilt, and besides there's not enough fabric for a bed-sized quilt. I do have his started though, and should get back to it soon. I need to clear some space, mentally and physically, to lay out the sections I've started and get them balanced. The components will go together in long strips, and the color distribution, while not precise, needs to be balanced across them. Isn't that mysterious-sounding?
