That meant a lot of stitching to rip out, and I procrastinated on that for almost a year. Ultimately, I got around to it, and then put it back on the frame in January. I stitched the borders in a different design which sucked up some of the excess, and also added a little extra to the braids, making a ribbon effect. The borders still have some extra fullness, tucks and pleats, but it doesn't show (much), and the quilt is perfectly usable. And done!
Oh, and although I finished quilting this in January, I just got the binding on last week.
Linking to Crazy Mom Quilts, for finish it up Friday.
Lovely!

Your quilt is gorgeous! I love the blues and greens with the rusty orange. All together, the quilt looks spectacular! Will you show a photo of the whole quilt?
