Today is my dad's 80th birthday. There was a big family party in Illinois, where virtually everyone in his extended family was present except for me. (I couldn't travel because of the gas bubble still in my eye. I wish I could have been there, but what can you do?) It was a celebration not only of 80 years, but successfully making it through radiation and chemotherapy. We hope for many more years to come.
This picture is from his 75th birthday. They were returning from Sweden, and Ann arranged for a Princess torte and champagne on the plane for his birthday.
