After another bout of snow, it is finally settling into more spring like weather. Why are the earliest spring flowers usually bright yellow? Daffodils, forsythia, dandelions... Must have something to do with whatever is doing the pollination at this time, but there are few insects around yet.
I've been keeping a low profile the past few weeks because of an eye problem. On President's Day, I had a vitreous detachment with retinal tears. I had surgery a few days later to repair the tears (7 in all), and then a lot of time face down in bed letting it heal. I am finally getting some vision back in that eye and can do basic activities, although I can't exercise. Thank goodness for family and friends (especially brother Brent and friends Sudha and Carol) who helped out by taking me to appointments, checking up on me and taking care of Nikki. It takes a village applies to more than just raising children.
Goodness, how did it happen? I have to admit that eye problems scare the dickens out of me. I love color and have a hard time imagining life with limited vision. Will you have a complete recovery?
